• Hello Fabrik Community

Fabrik is now in the hands of the development team that brought you Fabrik for Joomla 4. We have recently transitioned the Fabrik site over to a new server and are busy trying to clean it up. We have upgraded the site to Joomla 4 and are running the latest version of Fabrik 4. We have also upgraded the Xenforo forum software to the latest version. Many of the widgets you might have been used to on the forum are no longer operational, many abandoned by the developers. We hope to bring back some of the important ones as we have time.

    Exciting times to be sure.

The Fabrik 4.0 Official release is now available. In addition, the Fabrik codebase is now available in a public repository. See the notices about these in the announcements section

We wish to shout out a very big Thank You to all of you who have made donations. They have really helped. But we can always use more...wink..wink..

Also a big Thank You to those of you who have been assisting others in the forum. This takes a very big burden off of us as we work on bugs, the website and the future of Fabrik.

I know I did it before, but I can't reproduce it anymore. I've thoroughly studied my old case and searched for clues in Wiki...
My problem: I cannot create a link in List View which points to the joined table Detail view instead of the Detail View of the current list.

I have two forms/tables: PT and Controlpanel.

In the Controlpanel form I created a databasejoin element which points to the ID element of PT and should display PT___Name.

In the PT List I created a Left Join from id to the databasejoin element in Controlpanel.

My problem: I cannot create a link in Controlpanel List View which points to the PT Detail view instead of the Controlpanel Detail View.

I my old case I didn't have to set 'Link to details' in Elements to 'yes' and I figured this was logical due to the Join. But if I do not set this to 'yes' now, no link appears.

Hopefully somebody knows what I'm missing here...

The standard "Link to details" is always going to the form of the record (resp. details view if there's no edit access).

Maybe in your old case you had set "Link to joined record" (in the dbjoin's element "Add option in frontend" tab)

Bingo! Trooster, I won't stop saying this: You are the Master! Wouldn't have found this myself. I'm very happy and will continue creating my own Fabrik mastterpiece :):):)
