• New Commercial Services Section

We have now opened a commercial services section here on the forum. If you have a Fabrik project that you wish to have someone work on for you, post it under Help Wanted. If you are an application developer and wish to earn some money helping others, post your details under Fabrik Application Developers.

Both of these are unmoderated. It will be up to both parties to work out the details and come to an agreement.

Hi Folks,

I'm just started wih Fabrik, but am ok on Joomla configuration, js, mysql and php.

How quick and easy is it to allow users to capture their own data - that they can keep private or choose to share with others - using Fabrik?

How would you go about it - or where would you go to get up to speed with what is required quickly and easily?

(I've seen the encryption capabilty, but just want users to be able to build their own collections of data and have control over who can see it and/or contribute to it.)

Thanks very much!

Gary

See your other thread:

It can be set in list access settings, so users see their own data only.

And then there is a access element plugin, so user can set which access level users can see the record and you can then prefilter the list accordingly.

Or you can have e.g. a multiselect databasejoin element referring to Joomla users table, so users can select specific users to view the current record. And again you prefilter the list accordingly.

So there are several options depending on your need.
