Failed validation on a form that contains checkbox element(that uses advanced) clears form data

I have a form that contains a checkbox element where I use the advanced section to populate the checkbox element. When any validation on the forms fails while this element is published, the forms data is cleared. If the element is unpublished or I do not use the advanced section of the element, and the validation fails, the form retains its data.

Is there a bug here, or am I missing something?

Sounds like a bug. I'm rather busy at the moment, just got back from a couple of days off (eclipse chasing). Bump this thread in a day or two.
