Multiple checkbox selection with two clicks

I have a form that displays serials by check boxes. Instead of clicking boxes one by one, is there a way I can check the first box and hold down the 'Shift' key and click the last box in the row and have all the other boxes filled in? I am trying to find a way to make it easier on the user. How can they check many boxes with 2 clicks or something of the sort?

You can use a dropdown element or a dbjoin element (both set to multiselect)

If I remember correct, with dbjoin element rendered as multi-select you can select a range while keeping shift or ctrl pressed.

With checkboxes it might be possible with some custom javascript, but haven’t tried this myself.
