Problems with multilingual Fabrik

Hello,

I have started implementing multilingual Fabrik using language override app method from this link: http://fabrikar.com/forums/index.php?wiki/make-fabrik-multilingual-with-fabrik-itself/

Generally working fine, but I have faced bigger and smaller issues:

1) The biggest problem is that when I have translated some labels in Fabrik translation list, all the sudden all the translations disappear (xx-XX.override.ini file has disappeared). Once it was probably related to that I used some forbidden character in label name. Second time it happened I did't have a clue about the cause. This is really bad as a lot of work will be useless.

2) Can list heading labels be translated? I have a lot of element where element name is quite long, but for list view it's shortened to save the space in list.

3) When I change some label name before translation for example from Label name to LABEL_NAME, should it update automatically in Fabik __labels table? Now it seems i have to change it manually in translation list.

Thanks in advance :)

1) Is that when you are using the J! language override backend?

2) That should happen already:

https://github.com/Fabrik/fabrik/blob/master/components/com_fabrik/models/element.php#L1650

... where we check to see if the alt label exists, and if so use that, then run the label through FText::_(), which is just a wrapper for the JText::_() function that does translation.

3) What Fabrik___labels table? You mean the one in that wiki article? I've never tried that approach, that was contributed by a user. But from looking at it, you'd have to write a second set of triggers for "AFTER UPDATE" on those tables, to pick up changes to existing rows. The existing triggers will only handle new objects, not editing existing ones.

Thank you.
