• Hello Fabrik Community

    Fabrik is now in the hands of the development team that brought you Fabrik for Joomla 4. We have recently transitioned the Fabrik site over to a new server and are busy trying to clean it up. We have upgraded the site to Joomla 4 and are running the latest version of Fabrik 4. We have also upgraded the Xenforo forum software to the latest version. Many of the widgets you might have been used to on the forum are no longer operational, many abandoned by the developers. We hope to bring back some of the important ones as we have time.

    Exciting times to be sure.

    The Fabrik 4.0 Official release is now available. In addition, the Fabrik codebase is now available in a public repository. See the notices about these in the announcements section

    We wish to shout out a very big Thank You to all of you who have made donations. They have really helped. But we can always use more...wink..wink..

    Also a big Thank You to those of you who have been assisting others in the forum. This takes a very big burden off of us as we work on bugs, the website and the future of Fabrik.

having many modules, I would like to create the code with the year,) 2018-0001) but without the user having to select the year from a drop-down box for each record entry.
Is it possible to obtain automatically the year starting from the date-time?
I explain:
The year field must exit automatically according to the year present in the date-time.
In this way, the user for each entry finds the year (current) field by default, avoiding the need to select the year for each record.
Thank you all

OK, temporary fix. Edit this file on your server ...

./libraries/fabrik/fabrik/Helpers/Worker.php

https://github.com/Fabrik/fabrik/blob/master/libraries/fabrik/fabrik/Helpers/Worker.php#L1129

... and at that line (1129), add {year} after it, like ...

Code:
            '{date}' => date('Ymd'),
            '{year}' => date('Y'),

I'll commit that as a fix in the next few days, but I can't just now, because I forgot I was working on a different branch of the code, applied that change in the branch, so I can't now add it to the master branch until I'm ready to merge my branch back in to it.

So just add it to your code, and it'll be there next time you update from Fabrik.

Then you can use {year} as a placeholder in your sequence string.
