Styling thumbs element

Hi

I wanted to style the behaviour of the thumbs element but was not sure exactly where to look.

I have been able to change the colour of the icon by CSS but I wanted to change the behaviour (basically so before liking it the thumb is black then once liked it is red) . Can this all be done by CSS or do I need to change something elsewhere?

I think it's all CSS.
Check with your browser console the classes you need to set/modify.
