use calc field in prefilters

Hello, I need to include a field calculated for a balance in the filter of my list. I put it but it takes the value in the table whose value is null. It does not perform the calculation.
Can a calculated field be used in prefilters?

It can, if "Only calc on save" is set to "Yes", so the calc value is written to database and not calculated "on the fly".

If you set "Only calc on save" from "No" to "Yes", you would have to update all the existing records whether by edit->save or if you got many of them then with a query in e.g. PhpMyAdmin.
