• Hello Fabrik Community

Fabrik is now in the hands of the development team that brought you Fabrik for Joomla 4. We have recently transitioned the Fabrik site over to a new server and are busy trying to clean it up. We have upgraded the site to Joomla 4 and are running the latest version of Fabrik 4. We have also upgraded the Xenforo forum software to the latest version. Many of the widgets you might have been used to on the forum are no longer operational, many abandoned by the developers. We hope to bring back some of the important ones as we have time.

    Exciting times to be sure.

The Fabrik 4.0 Official release is now available. In addition, the Fabrik codebase is now available in a public repository. See the notices about these in the announcements section

We wish to shout out a very big Thank You to all of you who have made donations. They have really helped. But we can always use more...wink..wink..

Also a big Thank You to those of you who have been assisting others in the forum. This takes a very big burden off of us as we work on bugs, the website and the future of Fabrik.

  • Hello, i am intrested on paying the subscription, but i want to know about the manuals, how detailed are them? they explain all the options that you have when you create an element for example, and those kind of things?

    Regards
I'm really struggling with a project, and deadlines are looming... I've tried finding direction in community support, to no avail. If I upgrade to bronze (it's all I can afford right now, and really I can't afford that even but will make the plunge), do you think I can get some help with this project? I don't want anyone to do it for me, it's just that I'm not a coder, but it seems that what I'm looking for is somewhat basic in form functionality, and I oughta be able to get Fabrik to do it. Please check my thread which pretty much lays things out, and let me know if upgrading will get anywhere. Thanks for your help, I really need it.

Hi Cheesegrits. Sorry to send this direct, but I need help. I can no longer edit tables in backend. Previously I had "edit" button, and I could check a record and edit. I did svn and no longer can edit tables. I tried everything, yet no luck. Pls advise.
@techbites - hey! if you aren't doing anything on Fri, come on down to Bandito South, grab some good Mexican food and see my band.

@dtarver - please post all Fabrik questions on the forums.
    Question about PHP valildation.

I simply what to check that they entered data. If it is empty then the validataion should fail.

How would the PHP validation code be written for simply checking if a value was entered please?

    Thank you,
    Dora
    Good Day

Sorry that I post here, did not know where else, in the last SVN update in fabrik2article.php file there was an error on my side you forgot to put "}" on line 87. Also can you please (beggin on my knees) tell me how to put a link in the table view so that it link to the article that is in joomla that fabrik2article plugin created.

    Thank you

    (again sorry to post here)
Sorry about the delay ... I almost ever check my visitor messages, I have enough trouble just keeping up with the forums, PM's, email and IM! If you have work you need doing on a commercial basis, try posting in the Help Wanted forum.
    Hugh-

My question seems to be the same as "kooskoek" asked below. I'm not a computer guy and I'm unable to spend hours on the learning curve. I know what I want and need but need to hire someone to do it for me. I see you have "subscriptions" and requests for donations but I'm hoping I can have more individual service by hiring someone. Are you available? Do you know anyone who knows your product looking for work? Not very complicated I believe. Just designing professional forms, setting up relational database, etc.

    Thank You!

    Hi Hugh,

I looked inside the last svn 1138 that you removed the code about the $ids variable.

I decided to remove the joomla user account I have created for you.
So do not consider my suggestions about the cascading elements.

I'm designing my web application since november 2008 and I should have finish it for last Christmast. Now I'm 2 month late, so I decided to do it by myself, without fabrik.
Moreover, my application is too much customized, and fabrik is not 100% suitable.

Good luck with your great component!
    best regards (to Rob too)

OK, I fixed the issue with the Forum menu link. Schoolboy mistake, as Rob would say. Instead of setting the 'ordering' to be below Testimonials, I had set it to be a child of Testimonials.

Also set the jump page for signal login to forums. May or may not keep it that way, I'll see how Rob feels about it.
