Cron job

Hello,

I've been reading the wiki about cron plugin bu I couldn't get there... sorry if this is a dummy question.

I need to run a task, for example daily, which will execute an sql quey to find, for example, who have a due subscription, sending an email to the user and to the financial department with that information.

Is this possible with this plugin or do I need to have a cron job on the server? Or it's a mix of both?

This is a typical task which can be done with the email plugin or the php plugin.

Fabrik cron jobs are triggered by frontend activity.
If you want it to run at a special time you can enable the "Query string" or "Query secret" and trigger it via a server cron job.
