Not sure if this a feature or a bug.
When entering a job into our diary database a number of fields have to be filled and are validated.
Our date field - d/m/Y is converted (in the background) from the British format DD/MM/YYYY to the standard YYYYMMDD as soon as you enter it onto box. 09/05/2015 -> 20150509. It continues to display the GB format - but you can see it working every time any other field is activated/clicked on the form.
If the user leaves a (validated) box active when they hit Save the date is either read as US format or disappears. If it remains in US format then it is stored on the database with the day and month switched.
The form uses Ajax validation
The workaround is to click the white space on the page to allow the date to re-calculate (again) and then hit Save.
Is there a way to stop the date from converting to YYYYMMDD until you hit Save or just do the background conversion once.
