I'm struggling to get my head around how to do what I want in Fabrik (I'm using Fabrik from Github Joomla3 branch so it's up-to-date).
At a high level I have a couple of tables which I want to use as a source of my data. The tables contain a simple Category tree (cat_id, name, parent_id) and a list of line items with a category id.
I need a user on the front end to be able to select from the Categories (using the cascadingdropdown I guess) and then choose the right line item and add it to their "Quote".
What I'm not understanding here is how to keep the source data read-only and save the users' choices into a different new table.
Can anyone give me a cluebat please?
