How to copy from 2 tables in 2 tables clicking a button

after conversation in skype with hugh.. i have one possible idea that maybe i can try..

imagine that i have table 1 ( main table ) with a secondary table ( repeat table ) ... and i have a list with a button..

after this a create a table 2 (main table + id user element) with a secondary table ( repeat table ) and both tables would be empty but same elements than in tabl

would be possible once i click in a button..

save the datas we have
from table 1 to table 2
from secondary table 1 to secondary table 2 ??

which would be the best way to do that???

This should be possible with a list php plugin added to your main table1.
This will show you a button in each list row (including a checkbox to select multiple rows) and in the php code you can do the copying.
