List E-Mail List Plugin: HTML-Code is removed from the resulting mail

I use the Email list plugin. But all html-code is removed from the mail and a br-tag is inserted at the point where I inserted an empty paragraph. This is true when using the WYSIWYG editor or a html template. If I use the (corrected) sample.php template the constructed string is inserted in the mail as it is.
Did I anything wrong?

Seems an old issue has come back.

And shouldn't the (WYSIWYG) editor be hidden when a template is chosen?

We're looking at this, figuring out some J! input filter issues.

Yes! I thought this too. For that I checked the System->Configuration->Text Filter. I have been logged in as Super User. But the filter has been "no filter". Then I thought that the E-Mail probably ran in another context. So I set them all to "no filter" but that didn't help, too.

BTW on Ubuntu Linux (14.4 and 15.10), Win10 and OS X with Firefox 44.0.2 (and 45.0.0, just released) and prostar-template the mce-edit-area for the E-Mail popup has the height 1px and is not expandable.
