Placeholder to show detail view of a record

What is the format of the placeholder to show all ( or selected ? ) fields in a view - like a form but without the field frames ? Is this what is referred to as a 'details view' in the documentation ? Thanks.

I think the answer is view=details rather than view=form.

{fabrik view=details id=1 rowid=1}

And I think if you want just a selection of the elements associated with a list you create another copied linked list and unpublish the elements you don't want. And if the layout of the details view isn't what I need then I need to create a new template as described in Rob's Video .

If I'm wrong on any of this then I'd welcome correction. Thanks.
