Can you make buttons show using conditional code

I have built a search form that searches user profiles and displays them in a list.

For this particular list, I have the Details > Navigation > Show Add set to "Yes."

However, I would like for that button to not show if the search actually returns results. I'm certain I can do this using a PHP script if I knew how to reference the button. Any thoughts?

You could put this in a custom javascript file:

requirejs(['fab/fabrik'], function () {
  var records = Fabrik.blocks.list_8_com_fabrik_8.options.data[0].length !== 0;
  if (records) {
    document.getElement('.addRecord').hide();
  }
});

replace the 8 in 'list_8_com_fabrik_8' with your list's ID.
