Characters count very sluggish

If you have more than one textarea element with a characters (or words) count on, the first one is working fine but the subsequent ones are very slow, making typing almost impossible.
I tested this only on FF, which is known to have memory problems and gets sluggish anyway after some time, but this is very noticeable with character count.

Is it possible to fix?

hi thought I'd replied to this one - sorry!
I think I have commited a fix for this, seems there was an issue where we weren't clearing down the periodical function that checks to see if tinymce is loaded
