did you contact your host?
At a guess they have mod_security or similar running which can cause issues when posting long forms

Maybe you can manage something yourself in your hosting backend.
We have one hosting with additional security settings throwing error406 when trying to insert e.g. a table in the WYSIWYG editor.
But the responsible rule was reported in some error logging and could be deactivated (was looking like a regex of about one meter length )
