Group by does not work

I don't use them much, so I don't know since when it is broken, but the group by button does not seem to group anything: it just puts all the records of the list together.

Tested with GitHub 137 - Joomla 3.2 - PHP 5.4.4

ah silly me, a 'fix' I made for that completely broke it - should be ok now since this commit :
