How to use sprintf in the plugin cal element

this is php's sprintf function http://fr2.php.net/manual/en/function.sprintf.php
It takes the output from your calculation and formats it according to the rule you supply in the field

in that case inside your calculation you would use php's number_format function http://php.net/manual/en/function.number-format.php

so say your current calulation is

$number = 1465656 + 378738;
 
return $number;

to format that add in this extra line

$number = 1465656 + 378738;
$number = number_format($number);
 
return $number;
