J3.4.8/f3.4 upgrade to j3.6.2/f3.5 fails

So I just attempted to upgrade J3.4.8/f3.4 to j3.6.2/f3.5.

Big mistake. I lost all form and list plugins, all radio button/cb elements don't work, and many errors regarding jlayouts.

Here is what I did.....

1) upgraded J3.4.8 to j3.6.2
2) Upgraded to F3.5 via normal download and package install. (as per docs)
3) Upgraded latest from GIT.

I am anxious to get Joomla to latest version to solve security issues on about 15 of my client sites, and I know F3.4 does not work with J3.6.2 properly.

I would appreciate any tips please.

Maybe you've got a wrong Fabrik or GitHub version?
Try again (you can skip [])

- disable the Fabrik system plugin (just to be sure; with some J!/Fabrik combinations there may be a hen&egg issue with backward compatibility)
- upgrade to Joomla3.6.2
- clear all Joomla and browser cache

[- upgrade to Fabrik3.5 (package install or Joomla installer)
- clear all Joomla and browser cache
- enable the Fabrik system plugin if it's still disabled
- test if it's ok]

- do a GitHub update (master branch)
- clear all Joomla and browser cache
- enable the Fabrik system plugin if it's still disabled
- test if it's ok
