No "please select" for cdd?

Hello,

Please check the cdd element, i have the option "Show please select" set to Yes but i don't see any "please select" in form, instead the first record is loaded.

This might be the problem? It seems that Hugh made some modification in the version "master" two days ago and the latest merge between versions "master" and "joomla3" was made three days ago..
