RC1 creating lists defaalts to utf8 COLLATE utf8_unicode_ci

After updating to RC1 any new list and new elements are being created as utf8_unicode_ci. thus creating mismatch errors.

When I looked at the database all the prior tables created in fabrik before the RC1 update tables are utf8_general_ci


Is there a setting in fabrik to configure this?

I can't replicate this.
Fabrik is using the database collation as table collation, check your DB settings.
You can set a different table collation in list's "Details"/Advanced tab.
