users editing own records and others just view records

i read the documentation of users editing own records by reading your tutorial at : http://fabrikar.com/forums/index.php?wiki/users-editing-own-records/

and i managed to get it right. so cool. but wat about the others users just only view the list of others users?

If you want a user to see (and edit) only his own records you need a prefilter.

If you want the records to be viewable by public (or registered users) but editable only by the "owner" set list access settings.

view record = public (or registered)
edit records = ...(superadmin, nobody, whatever access levels you need)
or use field = your element storing the userid of the owner

tq troester for quick reply, can you guide me further about use field function. i did it before but it won't work.

my scenario is i created the usergroup called "something" and the users from that usergroups can only edit their own, but still can view others list/records.
