assign an javascript action to a element list

Hi,
I developpe a fabrik list and i want to update a database field with a javascript action by cliking on an element on the list (I like when I clik on file element on the list , the field clik will be incremented by 1 in the database)
the problem is that I dont know how to assign this action to that element of list and where I have to put the javascript action.
Please if you have any idea help me , thanks in advance.
