Disallow some characters on forms

Hello.
Is there a way to disallow or bypass some characters on form input fileds?

This is. I have a form that will connect to an external API and then inserts data on an external database.
That API doesn't allow chars like ' or ".

Is there a way to disallow the user to use this chars?

Add a validation ot each field e.g. isnot or php or regex. With php or regex you can replace automatically.
Or add a php plugin checking and maybe replacing all at once.
