Edit Form Group order problem

I found a problem re-ordering the groups when editing a form. On the Groups tab in Current groups I could select and move a group with the up and down buttons, but after saving, they went back to the original place. I spent a while hunting online, but all I could find was a similar problem in 2016 that had been fixed. Strangely, I had been able to re-order some groups yesterday.

I then made myself miserable reading some posts about the current state of Fabrik (which I sincerly hope is not really that bad!) and went back to my problem. By digging into the Joomla/Fabrik tables with phpMyAdmin I found that ordering seemed to be simply controlled in jos_fabrik_formgroup. A quick edit there to swap the values in the ordering field of three records solved the problem, with no side effects so far.
Has anyone else seen a similar problem?

I am running Joomla! Version 3.9.15; PHP Version 7.3.14; Database mysql Version 5.7.29;
Fabrik 3.9; Linux/Apache; User: Windows 10.0, Firefox 73.0.

Hmm, I can't replicate.
But as you say you were able to do it before.
So it may be you have/had some (temporary) JS issues, form was not completely loaded etc.
Next time you may check in your browser console for any JS messages/errors.
Closing/reopening the brower, clearing browser cache etc. may also help.
