Error on update from Joomla backend

I logged in to my joomla backend, and the admin dashboard showed updates available on Fabrik. I clicked on update, and after that here is the error I am getting -

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_SL in /home/madpad/public_html/components/com_fabrik/models/element.php on line 1397

I get the same error on Joomla backend, as well as frontend. So my site is down.

I am using J2.5/F3.04.

How do I restore my site to its original state without the error? Was I wrong on clicking on update from Joomla backend?

I copied another version of element.php and restored the site alright.

But can I update Fabrik from the joomla backend in future?

Apologies, we moofed the 3.0.5 ZIP, there is now a 3.0.5.1 you can update to.

My site is back up, but numerous problems in Fabrik continue to exist...I see on a different thread that Hugh is working on a fix.
