Form Standard Captcha problem

I am facing problem in displaying standard captcha image properly.

firebug error -

Image corrupt or truncated: http://testdomain.net/plugins/fabrik_element/captcha/image.php?foo=116912200

Resolved partly that is the image is appearing properly now, but the text entered as shown in the captcha results in error as "incorrect text entered" (it happens randomly)

Addendum: when the captcha results in error, the firebug shows a different image than in the form and the text entered for the image shown in the firebug is accepted without error.

Hmm, that's what I thought you were implying but I don't see that with mine.

Do you have caching enabled on your server? It shouldn't make a difference as the code caters for that, but I need to work this one out.

Did you change your code as per the last post on the thread you refered to earlier?

Yes I did. Only after changing the code, the captcha image is shown properly, otherwise it was showing only top half.
No all caching is disabled at the moment.

Are you in a position to let me know your PHP version.

What would be really great if you could send me a PDF of your PHP information, i.e Joomla Backend -> Site -> System Information -> PHP Information.

Thanks Felixkat, But I think I have identified the problem i.e. if I disable the joomla System SEF Plugin that problem doesn't occur.

As soon as I enable the SEF plugin the problem recur.
