hide dropdown in form

maybe is stupid question..

I need hide a dropdown element in the form.. is not possible?? i can not see the button to change... how can i do?

Hi,

You can use the 'Access', if you give no right to this element, it won't be displayed on the screen.
Instead of 'public', use 'Super user' or create a group with nobody inside.

One trick you can try is to change the element type to 'field', select "Hidden" (don't Save yet!), then change back to type dropdown, and save.

The "hidden" attribute should work for any element type, but only some have the control for it in their settings ... we didn't think people would need to permanently hide elements which have user controls (dropdowns, radios, etc), we only saw a use case for things like fields, dates, etc.

I keep meaning to go back and add the setting to all element types, but there's always more important stuff needs doing.
