Lists and menu links

Hello, need advise on how to reach that.

I've got several lists who hold thousand of records. So far, these lists display all records.
I'd like to display only the last month records by default when clicking on a menu link (important) and these dates will be pre-fill in the filters.
If I want to remove the last month filter, I need to click Reset Filter

Any ideas?
BTW, I tried using URL pre filter but cannot be applied for menu links

Instead of a Fabrik component menu item, use an 'external' link menu item, and just use the usual component link, with the URL filter appended.
