run eval options code only on new record?

Any suggestions how I might prevent eval options code from running when I edit a record? I have a CDD which removes a bunch of the dropdown options. It works fine, but now we only want it to run when we are adding a new record, not editing an existing record.

I haven't done anything like this myself, but if it were me I would see if the eval code can identify the value of the primary key and act based on that. A new record will either not have a primary key value or it will be something like zero, whilst editing an existing row will have a primary key value.

That worked. Is there any way to prevent it from being applied to the list filters?
