Uncaught ReferenceError: Class is not defined

Any idea what this error in the console log is all about?
I can't even get to the home page without the screen only half-painted.

I got past that - by going through my 'custom' template - which was copied from the default prostar template- like 3 years ago - and trying to bring it in line with the most recent prostar template from Joomla.

But I'm still having a weird condition where the user cannot login after logging out. It just keeps redirecting back to the login page. I have a redirect on login page setup (using JSN Easy Profile) but it's never reaching that point.

I'm going to try using the prostar (unedited) as my default and see what happens.
