Undefined property: FabrikTableForm::$startTag

I keep getting this error after some updates...
I have some modified layouts from good old times, the line that generates the error reads: echo $form->startTag;

can I comment that line out without breaking anything?

As far as I can remember $form->startTag was creating a form resp. div tag in form resp. details layout.
You can't use the old templates with Fabrik3.1+ (3.3.3) and Joomla3+ (3.4.4).

You should rebuild your layouts starting with the recent Fabrik ones (bootstrap, bootstrap_tabs).
Meanwhile there are different layouts for form and details (in tmpl/form/ and /tmpl/details)
