Auto-complete form field from database like google search suggestions

I want to create a form that as the user types in a serial number, suggestions will appear like when using "google search", as well as have the field auto-complete as soon as what they have entered so far creates a unique match in the existing database of serial numbers.

BTW
The serial numbers table is not a Fabrik list as it is a custom table that I sync into the Fabrik database from a database on another server. It is in a local table if that is important.

I have been searching the forums, reading the wiki, and watching tutorials but haven't found any real guidance on this. I am super new to Fabrik but am loving its power.

Can anyone confirm that my request is achievable, and if so point me in the right direction?

You can link a fabrik list to any existing database table (but it's not necessary in this case).

Add a database join element, in "Data" tab select "Render as"="autocomplete", select your custom table.
Is this what you are looking for? (not sure what you expect with "google search")
