Auto fill from custom link

I have a custom link which pre-fills the id element the form. I also have set up a auto fill plug in on this form.

However when the form is loaded the auto fill does not work. But if I open the form and select the id element the form will auto fill.

My settings for auto fill are:

Published: Yes
do: autofill
in: both
On: both
field to observe: Available Job ID
trigger:
connection:site database
list: available jobs
map data: {"available_jobs___job_title":"job_applications___job_title","available_jobs___job_location":"job_applications___location"}
Edit original record: no
Confirm: no
Autofill on load: yes
