I think I may be going mad. I am new to Fabrik, but an experienced developer.
Joomla latest 2.5x
Fabrik 3.0.5.2 - component is 3.0.6

Here's the thing:

In all the tutorials, I see Tables and Templates, in addition to the buttons in the picture attached.

Do they no longer exist (in 3x, since the tutorials seem to be 2x), or did something go wrong with my installation?
I had endless trouble installing, but did eventually manage to install and then update from Github.

Please could someone advise if I can safely continue without said tables and templates buttons or do I need to redo the install (which up to now I have repeated about 4 times with various issues)

Fabrik2 tables are fabrik3 lists.

Yes, the tutorials are fabrik2, but the basics are the same.
Big difference: tables/lists and the Joomla2.5 ACL handling (so all access levels are no longer hierachical)

And templates may be called layouts at some places.
