Databasejoin element on #__languages does not work

essentially because there's not "id" column here but "lang_id".

When you save, then choose "lang_id" as Primary, saving again will end in erreur.
Dispite this, the "lang_id" has been saved in the table, but data will not show because it persists looking for "id"

aha Ok yes I can see that
I've fixed the code in github - with this commit https://github.com/Fabrik/fabrik/commit/e7facbb4dddd8feaba5b32c79e9370a0dc9d3ceb
To fix your current language list, edit it and select the correct field (lang_id) in the data -> primary key section
