download fabrik joomla search plugin

Where do I download the joomla search plugin? I don't see it listed in the wiki and its not in my install. I've also tried a discover with nothing listed.

In Extensions/Discover search for "search" or "select folder"=search, this should show the "Search - Fabrik" plugin.
If it's not there (and not already installed in Extensions/Manage) you have to update from GitHub

As mentioned there was nothing listed in plugins or by trying a discover. I pulled it from github, uploaded and discover worked fine. Is this supposed to be part of the main install package?

Another question about search, how do we make the creation date show in search results?

No, it's not part of the main install package. I think it's in the Downloads section of this site as an installable ZIP, unless we forgot to put it in the build script. But doing what you did, with a github update and a Discover, is fine.

Looks like we never included the code to return a date for the result, I'm adding that now.

OK, I've added the option to select an element to use for the create date in our Joomla Search list settings.

Edit the list - and under the publishing -> joomla search section, select an element from the 'date' dropdown.
