Edit only selected fields of a list menu?

Hi,

Another question from the "very inexperienced"

In a list menu, I selected some fields to display, but if I want to look at a record or modify it, all fields are shown.
Is there a way to display only the fields selected in the menu link?

I'd like to use this data to create an invoice: is this possible?

If you want a "reduced" list AND form:
copy your list (this will give you a full set of form/group/(child)elements) linked to the same underlying database table)
disable all elements you don't need
use this list in your menu item

I tried, but I don't understand why a group (Student data) is missing when I copy the list: please see attached pictures

I found my error, "Student data" was not published!
So I copied the list "Quote a stay" to a list "Invoice" and changed the names of the form and groups.
