i have a form in which i want people to enter their chess club email adress, then hopefully it will display an icon on the div form., the issue i am having is that there are no email element type like there are for link or field ect ect

i have seen in the forum that you could use the link or basic field element, if i use the link with a validation ismail, i got the icon on frontend, but when i click on it i am back at the site homepage, same if if use the field and set up guesslink to yes , there is no mailto thing at all

I looked throughout the forum, tutorial nowhere is it said how to do it could you please help me?

I've fixed the link element so it'll handle mailto: links

thank you for that fix Hugh but still not working i am using a text element because if i use a link the email icon simply disapear
