I display a Joomla article list from an external database.
Thank to a dropdownlist, I would need to filter this list by the article's year of publication (field 'publish_up' from com_content table).
Currently, using the element filter, each individual published date with year, month and time are fetched in the dropdown list.
In my needs, the dropdownlist would fetch only the years for which at least one article has been published and display corresponding articles.
Is it possible knowing that the date stored in publish_up field looks like "2017-02-07 13:44:20" ?
