Filter setting

I would like to create an annual overview of activities and persons.

When opening the site, only the records of the current year should be displayed - not all.

If the filter is used, you can choose between the years.
How is a preselection made on first view taken? A pre filter completely borders the view?

It's possible with a workaround.
You can create a menu item type "System Link/URL" and set the link to your list with URL filtering
