I wanted to put the default text in a date field the same way you enter a default for a text field. I put mm/dd/yyyy in the default box on a date field.

When I refreshed the field I got

00 - DateTime::__construct() [
datetime.--construct
]: Failed to parse time string (mm/dd/yy) at position 0 (m): The timezone could not be found in the database

. No big deal at my end, I'll just remove that but I thought you might like to know.

Can you post a screenshot of your date settings, with the default set to the value that causes the problem?

ScreenHunter_30 Sep. 12 23.19.jpg Hugh - I changed the field to a text field but here is where I put in the mm/dd/yyyy . If you can't see it in the uploaded screenshot, let me know.

I think the date default field must contain the date in MySQL format (YYYY-MM-DD), the formatting is done later.

We are in need of some funding.
More details.

Thank you.
