Gmap : More a question than a bug ! :-)

Hi there,

Gmap is no longer working on J3/F3 due to a recent (august) version change from 3.53 to 3.54 in the Google api (https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/versions).
I use to force the right version (&v=3.52) in the file media/com_fabrik/js/fabrik.js line 240 (or /media/com_fabrik/js/dist/fabrik.js for minified prod site).
But this is a temporary hack !

The problem comes from mootools redifning some function. But F3 without mootools.... :-(

Am I right if I say that for F4, you load your own mootools lib ? It is supposed to be a more recent one ? Or may be you've already patched the j3 version of mootools lib in order to makes it work with J4 ?

Actually, the only site running F4/J4 and gmap is going well so far whereas all the J3/F3 are down.

So... may I try to patch the mootols or do a hard migration of some old stuff to a new J4/F4 just to have gmap working ?

I think you can copy the F4 media/com_fabrik/js/mootools-core and -more (and/or the /dist ones) to F3.
I can't see where they are at the moment but I assume you know. (will be overridden if there ever would be one more J!3 update...)

I would suggest moving to J4/F4 rather than hack. I'm testing right now - followed the process to update to J4 and F4 and geocode and gmap is working perfectly. This change forced me to get serious - my old site stopped working last week.
