Multiselect dropdown without a default value

Hello,

Using a dropdown as multi-select without a default value, how can i remove this empty option from frontend? I activated the option to allow users to add new labels to dropdown (no saving), but the element is also saving the first empty row, like this: [",","Label 1","Label 2"].

I know i can ask users to select only the desired options, but i'm sure they will forget to do that.
