placeholder {$my->usertype}

Hi, the only placeholder I manage to make it to work is {$my->id} Others like {$my->usertype} or {$my->groups}. I've put a default value in a textarea "{$my->id}<--->{$my->usertype}" and the result was "294<--->"

Everybody make placeholders working?

With the new Joomla ACL, I am not sure that the values still exists for usertype and groups.
In Joomla 3, usertype does not even exist anymore in the #__users table.

You have to use the Joomla $user object instead.

Ok I use $user but, can I use $user as a placeholder? if not and I have to use a plugin, how can I filter a combo's SQL from a plugin?

I have 2 lists users and clientes with at least these elements: user ->clienteID, user->joomlaID. clientes->grupoID. I want a combo for selecting "clientes" only for those who "grupoID" is the same as user->cliente->grupoID OR user belongs to joomla access crpAdministrador.
