Please clarify how to update Fabrik from Github

What ive gathered regarding the instructions to update fabrik from Gh is as follows:
1) dowload lates from https://github.com/Fabrik/fabrik/zipball/master
2) extract folder and unzip main folder. So for example, I have administrator, fabrik build, components......inside a zipped file "fabrik"
3) then I upload it into the ROOT of my joomla root?

please, then what?

as I do not have command line access to do this:
wget --no-check-certificate https://github.com/Fabrik/fabrik/tarball/master -O - | tar -zx --strip-components 1

WIKI says: Choose one of the following methods:
Upload and extract a zip-file...
FTP Update ...
cPanel Update ...
Command line - UNIX/Linux server...

So if you don't have command line access use one of the other methods.

After updating fabrik is running with the new code and you can install additional plugins.
To let Joomla know about the update you have to do the Post Github Update Steps

I have the folder extracted, containing the files to be updated(from GitHub) sitting in my root DIR.

there arent any "other methods"

Copy the extracted folders/files to your Joomla root using one of the mentioned methods:
via a FTP tool like filezilla
or via something like cPanel or plesk file manager
