Stuck at the beginning.

Hello. I'm creating a website for my friend (construction machinery).

I'd like to create a form where user can choose:


from dropdown list: Machine Category (ex. Excavators, Loaders, Backhoes, Fork Lifts, etc)

then from dropdown list : machine make/brand (ex. Toyota, Mitsubishi, Volvo, etc)

then from dropdown list: machine model (ex. 6000PSR, A25, A30, etc)


Of course machine model has only one make/brand/manufacturer and one category.

Machine Category can have many makes/brands associated.

Machine make/brand may be associated with many categories (ex. Volvo makes Excavaors, Loaders, etc)

How would database tables look like?

How to connect them, how to display cascadding drop down (tripple).

I spend two days trying to figure it out, but I think I'm too stupid, but stubborn

I have one more question.

I'd like to create menu from tabgle categories (joomla menu) called: "categories" something like below:


Categories
-------------
- excavators
- loaders
- fork lifts
- etc.

And then when user clicks , for example "loaders" he is redirected to form when he can add a machine model to category "loaders".

How can I pass menu title/name (excavators, loaders, fork lifts) to form?
