Usage of Registration Datas within another form

Hi all.

Hope anyone has any idea how do solve the following:

I have created a form and wonder if it is possible to create an element field within this form with the name of the logged in person's name as html value and set this field to "readonly". So the name of the logged in person should prepopulate within this field and the field should not to be amendable.

Can anyone tell me if this is possible and if yes, how I can achieve this?

Add a "user" element.

Hi there,

as far as I am aware, the element user I can only use with a dropdown list so at least a dropdown field with all users appears. I do not need a drop down field, I need a normal input field with value of the Joomla user name...

Then you can use a text field set Eval to yes, and grab the logged in user name.

If the user element is not editable you won't get a dropdown. A user element will store the J!userID and show what you select to show.

A field element will store what is shown in the field (you even don't need php code, there are Fabrik placeholders like {$my->name} which you can put into the element's default).

So it depends on what you want.
